Georgia’s Jake Fromm enters draft; starting lineman to transfer

The Georgia football team will have a new look on offense next season as star quarterback Jake Fromm announced he will enter the 2020 NFL Draft.

A three-time SEC East champion under center for the Bulldogs, Fromm decided four times is too many and it is now time to pursue a professional career. He is one of four Georgia juniors to bolt for the NFL so far — D’Andre Swift and offensive tackles Andrew Thomas and Isaiah Wilson are the others — and he leaves the Dawgs offense with no experience at the quarterback position.

In somewhat related and a lot more unexpected news, today we also learned Georgia offensive lineman Cade Mays has entered the transfer portal.
