Friday Quickies: Ex Cats Praise New Cats Edition

Former Kentucky Wildcats PJ Washington, Keldon Johnson, and Tyler Herro had some positive things to say about the incoming freshmen that will don the blue and white this year.

“They’re a lot more skilled than I thought they were,” Washington told the Herald Leader. “Tyrese, he’s definitely good. Kahlil’s pretty good. Honestly, everybody’s pretty good. Johnny can shoot it. Keion is super bouncy, really wiry and athletic.

“I just feel as long as they play together and bond off the court, they’ll be good on the court.”

That trio, along with Immanuel Quickley and EJ Montgomery, took on a squad that consisted of Tyrese Maxey, Kahlil Whitney, Johnny Juzang, and Keion Brooks, winning a best-of-11 series 6-2.
