Freddie Maggard as stepped down as director of player development on Kentucky’s football staff.
After his resignation, his wife gave a statement to Kentucky Sports Radio that indicates the move was made due to health concerns:
“This was a personal decision that was made for health reasons and the betterment of our family. We know God is in control and has a plan for us. We would like to thank Mr. Barnhart, Coach Stoops and the UK family for their support in this decision. We look forward to cheering the Cats on to victory this year!
