Four Kentucky Wildcats earn SEC Player of the Week honors

With only three SEC games taking place on Saturday, Kentucky dominated the league’s weekly awards. FOUR Wildcats were earned SEC Player of the Week honors for their performances vs. Vanderbilt:

  • Defensive Player of the Week: Linebacker Jamin Davis
  • Special Teams Player of the Week: Kicker Chance Poore
  • Freshman of the Week: Linebacker J.J. Weaver
  • Co-Offensive Lineman of the Week: Offensive Tackle Landon Young

Davis had a career-high 15 tackles in the win over Vanderbilt and a tackle for loss. This was his fifth-straight game with double-figure tackles, making him the first Wildcat to do so since Danny Trevathan in 2010.
