Darius Miller has big plans for the community — through youth sports, especially — in Lexington.
Miller, a former national champion as a Kentucky men’s basketball player and native of Maysville, is part of a group that recently invested in The Alumni Center, a massive building near the Fayette Mall that was formerly known as the Sports Center. Inside are several full-sized basketball courts, which can also be used for volleyball, cheerleading, and more. There are plans to incorporate pickleball, as well as boxing and fitness. There will be leagues and tournaments for all sports.
