Former UK star has spent a season away from basketball. Here’s how it’s changed him.

Brandon Knight had to sit out all of this NBA season after tearing the ACL in his left knee in a pro-am game last July.

But being unable to play basketball hasn’t been all bad for the former University of Kentucky star.

In an interview with Arizona Sports 98.7 FM, the Phoenix Suns guard said he has gained a better appreciation for the game, and life, while sidelined.

“When you get hurt and you can’t walk, you start to just appreciate just being able to, to just play,” Knight said Sunday.
