Kyree Young was one of the top running backs in the Class of 2021, a product of Akron, Ohio, with scholarship offers from the likes of Alabama, LSU and Kentucky, among others.
Early this morning it was reported by Northeast Ohio HS Sports that Young was shot and killed, two weeks shy of leaving for college. He was headed to Tuskegee University to begin his college career, per Justin Rowland, after graduating from Massillon Washington High School.
Wow, absolutely heartbreaking.

The Kentucky commit just graduated from Massillon Washington a few months ago, but had played for Barberton and Buchtel during his high school career.
