LEXINGTON - When Kentucky basketball plays at Auburn on Saturday, a familiar face for local fans could suit up for the Tigers.
Former North Oldham star Justin Powell has missed the last three games for Auburn after suffering a head injury in the first half against Texas A&M on January 2. Powell did return to practice for Auburn earlier this week on a limited basis but did not play in the Tigers' win over Georgia on Wednesday.
On Friday, Auburn coach Bruce Pearl said Powell's status remains "day to day."
"He didn’t continue to make progress with his concussion protocol," Pearl said.
