Shams Charania of ESPN is reporting that former Kentucky star Shai Gilgeous-Alexander has won the NBA’s Most Valuable Player award.
Gilgeous-Alexander averaged 32.7 points, 5.0 rebounds and 6.4 assists per game this season. He led the Oklahoma City Thunder to a to a league-high 68 wins.
Nikola Jokic, last year’s MVP winner, finished second this year. He averaged 29.6 points, 12.7 rebounds, 10.2 assists and 1.8 steals per game.
