Happy Birthday to former Kentucky head coach Tubby Smith, who turns 68 years young today.
The 1998 National Champion is now the head coach at his alma mater High Point University in North Carolina. Last season, the Panthers finished with a record of 16-15.
Last year, I published an article saying how it was time for the university to add Smith’s name to the rafters at Rupp Arena. My opinion on that has not changed.
We have waited long enough. It is time for Tubby Smith to be in the rafters at Rupp Arena. Tubby was the definition of class and brought in many of the names we now call as some of the top players in program history.
