Former Kentucky assistant Jimmy Brumbaugh headed to Oregon

Former Kentucky assistant Jimmy Brumbaugh is on the move again. Matt Zenitz of On3 is reporting that Oregon is expected to hire Brumbaugh, Mark Stoops’ first defensive line coach at Kentucky, as an analyst.

Brumbaugh most recently worked for Jeremy Pruitt at Tennessee, joining the Volunteers’ staff in February 2020 as co-defensive coordinator/defensive line coach alongside fellow former UK staffer Derrick Ansley. He was fired in October 2020 after Tennessee’s fourth game of the season, a 34-7 loss to Kentucky. Pruitt was fired in January after an internal investigation revealed numerous recruiting violations that happened under his watch.
