It was a tough, tough loss for Kentucky, as the Wildcats fell 67-64 to Evansville inside Rupp Arena. But once a Wildcat, always a Wildcat, and it was quite the night for former Cat Walter McCarty. After winning a National Championship for UK in 1996, McCarty returned to Rupp Arena Tuesday night and upset the No. 1 team in America.
McCarty has been a part of plenty of incredible games inside Rupp, but he says tonight jumps to the top of the list.
“To be able to come back home and play the No. 1 team in the country and to play the way we did…” McCarty said after the game.
