Kentucky had a chance to force overtime against North Carolina, but a missed shot in the closing seconds dropped the Wildcats to a 5-3 record on the season.

On Tuesday night in Rupp Arena, the No. 18 Wildcats came up short against the No. 16 Tar Heels, falling 67-64 in another tough loss for Mark Pope‘s squad. A field goal drought that lasted for over 10 minutes of the second half spelled doom for a Kentucky team that did everything it could defensively.

UNC star freshman Caleb Wilson was held to 5-19 shooting while the Tar Heels shot just 40 percent from the field and 6-20 from deep as a team.
