Kentucky Basketball made its first public appearance in Indianapolis at Wednesday’s pre-tournament press conference from Gainbridge Fieldhouse. John Calipari spoke to a live audience and so did three of his players; Kellan Grady, Sahvir Wheeler, and Oscar Tshiebwe.
The first NCAA Tournament at Kentucky for all three, the players each spoke about their excitement to be at the Big Dance and how they’ve recovered since the early exit at the SEC Tournament. They are focused on their roles, they said, and getting back to uptempo basketball.
When the players were done, Calipari spoke about a physical week of practice, tweaking, and how losing in the SEC semifinal may have been a good thing for NCAA prep.
