Coming in as a top-five recruit and potential top-five pick in the 2021 NBA Draft, Kentucky freshman guard Brandon Boston Jr. has simply not lived up to the billing. Shooting an abysmal 35.8% from the field and 15.2% from three through nine games this season, the 6-foot-7 guard has not been the elite bucket-getter he proved to be at the high school level.
As a result, his draft stock has taken a noticeable hit.
Coming in listed as high as No. 3 Boston has fallen all the way down to No. 15 overall in ESPN’s updated list of best-available talents leading up to the draft.
