The 2021 KHSAA Boys Sweet 16 Tournament opening this morning with Elizabethtown thumping Knott County Central 87-59.
Mr. Basketball candidate Jaquais Franklin led the Panthers (20-2) with 23 points, 7 rebounds and 7 assists.
Elizabethtown had pulled away with a 17-0 run in the first quarter and never looked back on their way to Friday’s quarter final round.
The Panthers will face the winner of tonight’s game between George Rogers Clark and Oldham County Friday at 11:00 a.m.
