Eastern Kentucky head basketball coach A.W. Hamilton was on his way to EKU’s gameday shootaround at Rupp Arena this morning when he made a pit stop at KSR’s live remote broadcast at Abell Eyes in Lexington. The Colonels’ second-year coach gladly accepted an invitation from Ryan Lemond, who covered Hamilton during his high school playing days at Scott County, to join the show to talk about his team and the challenge they face against the soon-to-be No. 1 team in America tonight.
It is a big game for Hamilton, a former Kentucky high school state champion, to return to Rupp Arena, this time as a coach and not a prep star.
