According to multiple reports, Duke has asked the selection committee to place the Blue Devils in the Midwest Region for the NCAA Tournament.
Coach K is from Chicago so the team would like to play there in his final NCAA Tournament.
Source confirms to @TheAthleticCBB what ESPN’s Wright Thompson first reported: Duke has requested to be placed in Midwest Regional (Chicago) instead of East (Philly). Chicago is Coach K’s hometown. Higher seed normally goes to closest region but school decides preference.
