LEXINGTON - Kentucky football’s wide receiver group received a glimpse into the future against Tennessee.

Playing quarterback for the fourth consecutive game, Lynn Bowden was gone from the position again. Senior Ahmad Wagner, the Wildcats’ pass interference specialist and matchup nightmare outside, was out with an injury.

But instead of those absences – and an injury to redshirt freshman Bryce Oliver – providing additional catches to younger receivers who will be needed in larger roles next season, Kentucky’s run-heavy offensive game plan produced just two catches for wide receivers.
