Kentucky deputy director of athletics DeWayne Peevy is reportedly a “very strong candidate” for the vacant DePaul athletic director position.
According to Justin Rowland of Cats Illustrated, Peevy is being considered for the position, specifically pointing out the program’s dedication to basketball as a key reason for the fit.
Heard from a number of people that Kentucky deputy director of athletics DeWayne Peevy is a very strong candidate for the vacant DePaul athletic director position. Could be a very good fit for him with basketball being big there.

Peevy just completed his 12th year at the University of Kentucky and his sixth as the deputy director of athletics.
