After several weeks of speculation, it appears Kentucky deputy director of athletics DeWayne Peevy is on his way out of Lexington.
According to reporter Lawrence Kreymer, Peevy has accepted the athletic director position at DePaul University in Chicago.
DePaul is a member of the Big East Conference and is best known for their men’s basketball program, which has appeared in the NCAA Tournament 22 times with three trips the Elite Eight and two Final Four bids.
While historically successful, DePaul has not reached the NCAA Tournament since 2004 and will look for Peevy to help bring the program back to March.
