The Kentucky basketball program got an early signing period surprise on Friday morning.
Today, the University of Kentucky announced the signing of 2021 five-star guard Devin Askew, meaning the nation’s top junior point guard prospect has officially reclassified to the class of 2020.
Askew was greeted by former Kentucky guard Brandon Knight in his official introduction video:

While it was always seen as a near-lock for Askew to eventually reclassify to the class of 2020, the five-star guard has said in the past that the plan was for him to make that decision in the spring after his junior season.
