Former Kentucky star Derek Anderson will coach the Costa Rica National Team in the 2023 United Cup.
Anderson, a graduate of Doss High School in Louisville, played for Kentucky in 1995-96 and 1996-97. He helped the team win a national title in 1996.

Following a knee injury during his senior season he was taken No. 13 overall in the NBA Draft. He went on to play 13 seasons in the NBA and won a title with the Miami Heat in 2006.
