LEXINGTON - For the second time this month, Kentucky basketball has lost a key staff member.
DeWayne Peevy, UK's deputy director of athletics, has been hired as athletic director by DePaul University, the school confirmed Monday. Peevy was second in command of UK's athletic department under athletic director Mitch Barnhart and was tasked with oversight of the men's basketball program.
"I am honored and humbled today to accept the position of director of athletics at DePaul," Peevy said in a news release. "This is an opportunity that I have long dreamed of and one that I do not take lightly.
