The hectic DeAndre Williams recruitment appears to be coming to an end.
Late Wednesday evening, the Evansville transfer’s mentor, Kenny Roy, told KSR that Williams is expected to announce his decision on Friday, with all four finalists remaining in contention.
The choices? Arkansas, Baylor, Kentucky, and Memphis, with the 6-foot-10 forward still testing the NBA Draft waters.
Yesterday, Kyle Tucker of The Athletic reported that UK may have “backed away from the table” on the versatile forward, who was originally planning to announce a decision this past weekend.
“My sense is UK backed away from the table on Evansville transfer DeAndre Williams,” Tucker said in a tweet Wednesday afternoon.
