On Tuesday, the Miami Heat signed Liggins, making this the fifth different team he’s been on in 2017. It’s been a wild year for Liggins, who was traded by the Dallas Mavericks to the Houston Rockets back in June. Liggins opened the 2016-17 season with the Cleveland Cavaliers, but ended up being waived towards the end of the regular season.
The Mavs claimed Liggins off of waivers and activated him for one game before the regular season ended. There were reports this offseason that Dallas was planning to cut Liggins, but they instead worked out a deal to send him to Houston.
