Davion Mintz will have to try his luck in the G League this season. On Wednesday, the former Kentucky Wildcat was waived by the Washington Wizards ahead of training camp.
Mintz went unselected in the 2022 NBA Draft after spending the last two seasons of his college career in Lexington. Since he signed with the Wizards first after the draft, the franchise controls his G League rights, meaning he could very well suit up for the Capital City Go-Go to begin the 2022-23 season.
