Last year, Cutter Boley made his first career start in the Governor’s Cup, joining a small club of freshmen QBs to play against the Cards. This year, he returns to the rivalry game in his redshirt-freshman season as the team’s unequivocal starter and leader of the team.
A Kentuckian and lifelong fan, Boley knows the significance of the rivalry and recognizes its history. He’ll pay tribute to that history and the Kentucky-born QBs before him with a pair of custom cleats on his feet at L&N Federal Credit Union Stadium.
The Hodgenville, Kentucky, native collaborated with Billy Hobbs of True Blue Customs to design a pair that recognizes six Kentucky-born quarterbacks who shaped the rivalry long before he arrived: Tim Couch, Jared Lorenzen, Andre Woodson, Patrick Towles, Billy Jack Haskins, and Bill Ransdell.
