Correction: King Kelly’s place in rebounding history is still safe

Last Thursday, we reported that Belfry center Bol Kuir totaled 42 rebounds in a 78-77 victory over Lawrence County in double overtime.

The 42 rebounds were reported as a Belfry school record and the second-most in Kentucky high school basketball history. The record is 48 by Russ Milton of the new defunct Fredonia High School. Wayland legend “King” Kelly Coleman is next on the list with 41 rebounds vs. Maytown in 1956.

Based on curiosity and simply wanting to see some Kentucky basketball history, we decided to watch the game last night and track Kuir’s stats.
