CJ Fredrick cleared to play

Kentucky Wildcats guard CJ Fredrick has been medically cleared to play, and started training with the team last week, according to Jack Pilgrim of Kentucky Sports Radio.

Fredrick underwent a minor surgery in July for a leg injury, which had been pre-existing, and practiced for the first time on Friday. Fredrick is expected to be a full participant in practices starting in the next week or so, according to Pilgrim.

Kentucky, so far, has been easing Fredrick back into game shape.

There is also zero concern regarding Fredrick’s availability to start the season on November 9 against the Duke Blue Devils.
