Cats Stay Hot In-State by Landing a ‘Big One’

Mark Stoops and company continues its hot streak on in-state prospects. On Wednesday, UK earned the commitment of North Hardin’s Jordan Lovett. Lovett is a versatile defensive back that can play a plethora of secondary positions. For example, he can line up as a strong or free safety, nickel, or at dime. This multiplicity fits the mold of recent signings, such as Dru Phillips and Vito Tisdale.

Lovett chose Kentucky over Louisville, Missouri, West Virginia, Boston College, and Cincinnati. Listed as a 3-star prospect, he’s rated as the number 5 player in Kentucky and a top-50 safety in the nation.
