Seven is a lucky number for the Kentucky football program. Over the last 25 years it has been the benchmark for the program. In some cases, reaching seven wins is a milestone, while in others it has been the expectation.
Since Hal Mumme came to town in 1997, Kentucky has won seven regular season games nine times. Only once have the Wildcats exceeded the seven-win mark in the regular season, 2018.
It’s safe to say that history is not on the side of over bettors this fall. A few win totals have floated around so far this offseason.
