Kentucky guard Dontaie Allen will get his shot when the Wildcats head to Starkville this weekend.
During his weekly call-in show Monday evening, UK head coach John Calipari said Allen will play against Mississippi State on Saturday, praising the Falmouth, KY native for a “great practice” earlier today.
“I told Dontaie last night and tonight, he’s gonna get a chance now,” Calipari said. “We’ve still got injuries, not going to play guys who can’t play at 70%. Which means, “OK, are you ready?” He was great in practice, I was so proud of him. He started out shaky, and I had to be right beside him talking to him on every (shot), pumping him up.
