A three-time Naismith College Coach of the Year, AP College Coach of the Year, four-time SEC Coach of the Year, NCAA Tournament champion and Naismith Basketball Hall of Fame inductee, Kentucky head coach John Calipari boasts an accolade list longer than most. Sitting in the top 15 of all-time victories nationally and behind only Adolph Rupp at UK, he has earned and deserves the benefit of the doubt more often than not.
But if there’s one thing Kentucky fans have griped about during his time in Lexington, it’s his tendency to keep sharpshooters and pure scorers on the bench in favor of those with better athletic and defensive potential.
