Keion Brooks’ return to action following a calf injury is taking longer than we thought. This morning, John Calipari told reporters that he hopes to have the sophomore back in two or three weeks.
“We’ve got to get Keion back,” Cal said. “Let’s hope in the next two, three weeks he’s back and let’s see what we can do from there.”
When asked later, Calipari insisted that Brooks, who participated in drills at Pro Day and the scrimmage at Big Blue Madness, has not suffered a setback and that the medical staff is just being cautious.
