Calipari admits Ashton Hagans should have sat with leg injury

Of the many, many problems Kentucky had tonight, Ashton Hagans has to rank high on the list. The sophomore guard finished with three points off 1-8 shooting, two rebounds, three assists, four turnovers and two steals in 24 minutes. Hagans was limited in the first half by foul trouble, but looked completely out of sorts throughout the game, failing to finish at the rim and looking like a shadow of himself on defense.

Hagans has been dealing with a mysterious leg injury all week, and after the horn sounded on Evansville’s stunning 67-64 upset, John Calipari admitted he shouldn’t have played Hagans tonight.
