California State Universities will not reopen for fall semester, sticking with online classes

Some potentially bad news regarding the status of college football for this fall has surfaced.

According to California State University (CSU) Chancellor Timothy White, all 23 of the universities within the CSU system plan to cancel in-person classes for the upcoming fall semester with the majority of courses moving online. CSU is the nation’s largest four-year public university system.

“Our university, when open without restrictions and fully in person, as is the traditional norm of the past, is a place where over 500,000 people come together in close and vibrant proximity with each other on a daily basis,” White told the CSU board of trustees on Tuesday.
