Auburn head coach Bruce Pearl met with the media down in Alabama Friday afternoon, and he had plenty to say about his team’s upcoming matchup with Kentucky. He touched on a wide variety of topics, but here’s what you need to know:
Kentucky minus Reid Travis
One of the biggest stories of the game, of course, will be how Kentucky responds after Reid Travis’ knee injury. When UK traveled to Auburn back in January, Travis finished with 17 points and seven rebounds, while PJ Washington had 13 points and seven boards of his own. Without Travis, it’s more likely Pearl will choose to double team Washington.
