Bruce Pearl: “If we don’t play them again, I’m rooting for Kentucky”

Kentucky may have pulled out a win over the Auburn Tigers, but Bruce Pearl is apparently still pretty fond of the Wildcats. Auburn’s head coach spent a few (alright, maybe more than a few) minutes of his post-game press conference praising the Wildcats, calling them the best team in the SEC and an underrated group headed into March.

“I’ll congratulate Kentucky on being regular season champions of our league. I think they’re the best team in our league,” Coach Pearl said. “They’re the hottest team in our league. They’re physical offensively, [and] they’ve got all the pieces.”

He was particularly found of Kentucky’s style of play that incorporated three guards: Ashton Hagans, Immanuel Quickley and Tyrese Maxey.
