Brad Calipari’s return to Lexington has been put on hold.
The University of Detroit Mercy men’s basketball program announced this evening that it will not be traveling down to Kentucky to play in the Bluegrass Showcase due to a positive COVID-19 test in the program.
KSR’s Matt Jones was the first to report the cancellation.
According to the school, the positive test came from a member of the support staff who is not experiencing any symptoms and is now in quarantine. No other players or coaches have tested positive, although a few members of the team are in isolation due to contact tracing.
