2024 five-star guard Boogie Fland nearing a final decision, and Kentucky remains firmly in the running to land his commitment. After hosting the Harlem, NY native on an official visit from Sept. 8-10, John Calipari brought his entire staff with him to Fland’s school, Archbishop Stepinac, for the New York Basketball Coaches Clinic just days after the trip to Lexington. They followed it up with an in-home visit less than a week later — three in-person meetings across a 10-day stretch.
The effort from Coach Cal, Orlando Antigua, Chin Coleman and Chuck Martin is paying off, as the five-star prospect is focused on just three schools down the home stretch of his recruitment.
