The Bobby Petrino haters, of which there are many in the Commonwealth of Kentucky, can rejoice. The former Louisville head football coach has found a new job, and it’s not in the Bluegrass.
On Monday morning, On3 reported that Petrino will set up shop in Chapel Hill as Bill Belichick‘s offensive coordinator. Petrino is replacing Freddie Kitchens, once the Cleveland Browns’ head coach, who only survived one season for the 4-win Tar Heels.
Set aside the humor in this move for a moment, because there was a real chance that Petrino was coaching in Kentucky blue in 2026.
