College basketball’s evaluation period reopened today for the Peach Jam finals down in North Augusta, South Carolina, but Kansas head coach Bill Self won’t be among the coaches in attendance to scout some of the best high school basketball players in America.
Self is back home in Lawrence in quarantine after testing positive for COVID-19, he announced Friday afternoon.

“I was excited to get back on the road today to see some recruits at various tournaments this weekend, but I tested positive for COVID-19 and am in isolation,” Self said in a statement.
