Former Kentucky quarterback Beau Allen was named Western Athletic Conference Newcomer of the Year on Tuesday.
Allen was 193-340 passing for 2,883 yards and 23 touchdowns in his first season with Tarleton State.
The Texans finished with a 6-5 record.
