The Platoon Squad is finally making an appearance in KSR’s BBN Jam Tournament. Split into two teams to create an equal 32, the Blue squad features two of Kentucky’s talented upperclassmen from the 2015 team that finished 38-1.
The Platoon system did not benefit Harrison or Cauley-Stein in the box score, but their play improved dramatically from the previous season. The best ball-handling twin became an exceptional finisher around the rim. Kentucky’s offense went through Harrison’s hands while Cauley-Stein carried the torch on the defensive end. Named National Defensive Player of the Year, SEC Tournament MVP and a First Team All-American, Cauley-Stein could guard anyone anywhere.
