Baseball America’s All-American honors include 3 each from UK and Louisville

The Kentucky baseball team placed three players on the coveted Baseball America All-America teams, it was announced Thursday.

First baseman Evan White earned second-team honors, while outfielder Tristan Pompey and second baseman Riley Mahan picked up third-team recognition by the longtime publication.

White, who missed 13 games early in the season due to injury, still ranked among the Southeastern Conference leaders in batting average, doubles, hits and total bases. The Gahanna, Ohio, native, is hitting .368 in 51 games with 75 hits, 47 runs, a team-high 24 doubles, a triple, nine home runs, 40 RBI and five stolen bases.
