Kentucky Basketball couldn’t look any worse in the Wildcats’ first half of play at Spokane Arena against Gonzaga. Through 20 minutes of action, Kentucky trails the ‘Zags, 41-25, by way of night and day performances by two of the alleged five best teams in college basketball.
So far, No. 2 Gonzaga looks like a well-coached, veteran team that’s getting easy baskets at the rim and crashing the boards to a 10-rebound advantage at halftime. Across the way, No. 4 Kentucky’s offense is non-existent, only a rotation of bad shot after bad shot. The Wildcats currently have two assists as a team, missed all nine 3-point tries, and shot 25 percent from the field (8-32).
