Assistant Louisville Football Coach Arrested for DUI, Other Charges

A Louisville assistant football coach was arrested early Sunday morning and has since been placed on administrative leave.

According to reports, tight ends coach Chris Klenakis, 50, was charged with reckless driving, wanton endangerment, DUI and possession of alcohol.

Here are details from WDRB.com:

Klenakis was swerving on Interstate 64 West, almost striking a barrier wall multiple times and driving though a construction zone where several employees were working, according to an arrest citation by the Shelby County Sheriff’s Department.

Klenakis refused to cooperate and nearly walked in front of a truck before deputies grabbed him while he was doing a field sobriety test, the citation says.
