Ashton Hagans shines against home-state Georgia again in Kentucky basketball win

LEXINGTON - Ashton Hagans loves playing teams from his home state.

The Cartersville, Georgia, native totaled 23 points, five rebounds, nine assists and four steals to lead Kentucky to an 89-79 win over Georgia on Tuesday, completing the season sweep of the Bulldogs and possible No. 1 2020 NBA draft pick Anthony Edwards. The performance moved Hagans to 4-0 in his career against Georgia teams. He has recorded three of his four career 20-point games against Georgia and Georgia Tech.

Junior forward Nick Richards added 20 points and eight rebounds. Sophomore guard Immanuel Quickley (12 points) and sophomore forward EJ Montgomery (10) also scored in double figures.
