Analyst: Strong start to 2018 shows Benny Snell is 'built for the NFL'

LEXINGTON, Ky. – There is more at stake than records and wins for star Kentucky running back Benny Snell this season.

Snell, who is now 1,111 yards from Kentucky’s career rushing record and three scores from the program’s career touchdowns record, was mentioned this week as an early Heisman Trophy candidate by scouting-focused website ProFootballFocus.com.

And while it still seems premature to imagine Snell jumping from not even being included in ESPN’s preseason list of the top 50 players in college football to Heisman contender, Snell’s performance is apparently already catching the eye of NFL scouts.
